Cast Iron Cauldron

The spiral handle on this 4 inch deep by 10 1/4 inch Dutch Oven gives it a traditional look reminiscent of campfires and backwoods trails. The 10 1/4 inch size holds 5 quarts. A 7 quart pot is also available. Both pots come with lids and the lid for the 5 quart pot can be used on many of Lodge’s other cast iron products that measure 10 1/4 inches.

Cast iron offers even heating across the entire surface of the pot or pan and that results in food that is cooked uniformly so the true flavors of the food remain. Cast iron also develops its own non-stick coating after repeated usage and has no chemical coatings to provide the non-stick properties. Anyone worried about chemicals getting into the food from the non-stick coatings on pots and pans, should consider cast iron cookware.
